Mechanical Assembler – All Shifts Available

We’re hiring mechanically inclined individuals to join a high-impact team assembling large diesel and natural gas engines. These engines power hospital generators, data centers, and industrial vehicles.

Pay and Shifts:

+ 1st Shift: 6:30AM–2:30PM | $21.34/hr

+ 2nd Shift: 2:30PM–10:30PM | $22.09/hr

+ 3rd Shift: 10:30PM–6:30AM | $22.09/hr

What You’ll Do:

+ Assemble custom-built engines using torque wrenches, pneumatic tools, DC tooling, ratchets, and more

+ Interpret blueprints and customer specifications to complete hundreds of sub-assemblies

+ Use lifting devices and cranes to manipulate massive engine components

+ Troubleshoot and repair in-process engines

+ Document progress and follow instructions using a CPU

What You’ll Need:

+ Hands-on experience in an industrial or mechanical setting

+ Familiarity with torque equipment, DC tools, and hand tools

+ Ability to read and follow SOPs, blueprints, and work instructions

+ Basic computer skills to navigate engineering documents and record work

+ Mechanical aptitude beyond basic assembly — this role requires real problem-solving

+ Steel-toed or composite safety shoes (required on Day 1)

+ No diploma required

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lafayette, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.34 - $22.09/hr.
