Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and compassionate Patient Registration Specialist to join our team in Los Angeles, California. In this contract position, you will play a key role in assisting patients with registration and discharge processes, ensuring accurate data collection and seamless interactions. This role offers an opportunity to support healthcare operations and provide exceptional service to patients in need.

Responsibilities:

• Welcome patients in a thorough and trauma-informed manner to ensure a positive experience.

• Accurately collect, verify, and input patient information into the eClinicalWorks system.

• Notify healthcare staff promptly about urgent patient symptoms or concerns.

• Verify insurance coverage, explain benefits, and compute charges for patient services.

• Coordinate transportation arrangements and operate the mobile medical van when necessary.

• Gather and report demographic data to health insurance providers as required.

• Schedule and manage appointments while assisting with follow-ups and consult notes.

• Maintain and organize office supplies to support daily operations.

• Manage paperwork related to patient registration and discharge processes.

• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the team effectively. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in patient registration or a related role.

• Proficiency in using EHR systems such as Epic EMR, Allscripts, and Cerner Technologies.

• Strong computer literacy, including knowledge of Microsoft Windows and related software.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with bilingual Spanish proficiency preferred.

• Familiarity with medical terminology and office equipment.

• Ability to multitask and maintain organization in a fast-paced environment.

• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
