    Job Title: CNC Swiss Machinist

    Job Description

    Join our team as a CNC Swiss Machinist on the 1st shift, working from Monday to Thursday, 6 am to 4:30 pm, with occasional overtime of 4-10 hours on Fridays. You will primarily operate Nexturn and Hanwha Swiss machines in a dynamic job shop environment.

    Responsibilities

    + Independently perform full set-ups and changeovers on Swiss machines.

    + Run production orders ranging from 50 to 5,000 pieces.

    + Conduct 2-10 set-ups per week.

    + Read and interpret defense blueprints and understand GD&T symbols.

    + Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections using micrometers, calipers, and comparators.

    + Maintain tolerances down to +/.0001 of an inch (1/10,000).

    Essential Skills

    + 2+ years of experience in setting up Swiss machines, preferably in Aerospace/Defense.

    + Proficiency in reading blueprints and understanding GD&T symbols.

    + Experience with micrometers, calipers, and comparators.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with Hanwha and Nexturn machines is a plus.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a small to medium-sized machine shop with roughly 20 employees. The facility is an older building but well-lit, organized, and clean. With around 40-50 machines, about 30 of them are manual. The company has been family-owned and operated for over 50 years, with a strong reputation for quality, evidenced by never having parts returned. The company operates in the Aerospace industry, contributing parts to the Rover on Mars and numerous satellites. The facility is equipped with air conditioning.

    The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $83200.00/yr.
