The University of Maine at Augusta (UMA) seeks a critical operational leader to serve as the Assistant Director of Facilities Management. This position is responsible for assisting the Director in all departmental functions and serving as the primary backup in the Director's absence. This role is specifically tasked with the direct, comprehensive management and oversight of all maintenance, custodial, and grounds operations and staff. The Assistant Director translates the Director's strategic vision into daily operational execution, ensuring a high quality, safe, clean, and fully functional physical plant for the University.

Qualifications
Required:
+ Associate’s degree in Business, Facilities Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
+ Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in facilities, with at least 3 years in a direct supervisory role of trades, maintenance, or custodial staff.
Preferred:
+ Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
+ Experience as a facilities manager in an education environment preferred.
+ Experience with building automation/Energy Management Systems (EMS) and maintenance work order systems.

Salary: The salary for this position is $70,000.
