Job Title: Preventative Maintenance Technician

Job Description

As a Preventative Maintenance Technician, you will perform scheduled preventative maintenance on recycling equipment such as balers, conveyors, shredders, sorting screens, optical sorters, eddy currents, and roll stock machinery. You will inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems while conducting minor repairs and adjustments to minimize downtime and extend the life of equipment.

Responsibilities

+ Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on recycling equipment.

+ Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

+ Conduct minor repairs and adjustments to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.

+ Collaborate with operations staff to identify equipment issues and recommend preventative solutions.

+ Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and PLC instructions.

+ Support installation and setup of new equipment and coordinate with vendors on maintenance schedules.

+ Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

Essential Skills

+ Preventive maintenance experience.

+ Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.

+ Proficiency with hand and power tools.

+ Mechanical aptitude and experience.

+ Experience with reading and interpreting technical manuals and schematics.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in a PMs or MX experience preferred.

+ Familiarity with older equipment maintenance.

Work Environment

The role is based in a hot/cold and very dirty environment. The work hours are from 9 pm to 5 am during the 3rd shift.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Hazelwood, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $83200.00/yr.
