Job Title: Equipment Mechanic
Job Description
As an Equipment Mechanic, you will perform preventative maintenance on various support equipment including forklifts, generators, deice equipment, fleet vehicles, tugs, golf carts, GSE equipment, loaders, UTVs, and trams. You will repair and modify equipment as needed, perform minor welding, and document completed work orders in the CMMS. Your role includes using computer systems to manage inventory and diagnosing and troubleshooting various systems such as hydraulics, combustion engines, motors, electrical systems, and electronics.
Responsibilities
+ Perform preventative maintenance on support equipment.
+ Repair and modify equipment as needed and perform minor welding.
+ Document completed work orders.
+ Use computer systems to ensure adequate inventory.
+ Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, combustion engines, motors, electrical systems, and electronics.
+ Change out faulty sensors.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with heavy equipment or vehicle maintenance.
+ Experience in hydraulics, motor repair, and electronic component maintenance.
+ Experience in preventative maintenance, electrical, welding, heavy equipment, diesel, and schematic interpretation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience within forklift, fleet, or heavy equipment maintenance is ideal.
+ Experience troubleshooting electrical issues and electronics.
+ Combustion engines and small gas engine experience is a plus.
+ Experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting various equipment systems.

Work Environment
The role is based in a vehicle equipment maintenance shop near the airport, but not part of the hub. The shop is climate controlled. The position primarily requires working on the 2nd shift from Tuesday to Friday, 1:30 PM to 12:00 AM, with 10-hour days. The dress code requires steel-toe boots and clothing suitable for a mechanic's work. Safety glasses, hearing protection, and gloves are provided.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Memphis, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.78 - $48.04/hr.
