Job Title: Forklift Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to efficiently operate a sit-down forklift. You will be responsible for moving bags of stone, granite, mulch, and rock, as well as palletizing and assisting with material lifting. The role requires proficiency in operating a sit-down, propane, 5,000Lb lift.

Responsibilities

+ Operate a sit-down propane forklift.

+ Move and palletize materials such as stone, granite, mulch, and rock.

+ Assist in lifting materials as needed.

+ Ensure adherence to safety rules and operating procedures.

Essential Skills

+ Experience operating a sit-down propane forklift.

+ Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.

+ Capability to lift up to 75 lbs.

+ High school diploma or GED equivalent.

+ At least one month of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

+ Self-starter with the ability to work independently.

Work Environment

Work is scheduled from Monday to Thursday, 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with potential overtime on Friday. The role requires standing for extended periods and the ability to lift and/or move up to 65 lbs. Occasionally, you may need to lift over 65 lbs. The job involves physical activities including bending, crouching, climbing, pushing, pulling, stooping, and reaching.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of WHARTON, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
