    Job Title: Material Handler

    Job Description

    The Material Handler plays a crucial role in our manufacturing process by ensuring that materials are accurately counted, managed, and distributed. This position supports our inventory management system and is essential for maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of our manufacturing lines.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct inbound inspections, unpackaging, purchase order matching, counting, labeling, and accurate put-away of materials.

    + Perform daily Kanban replenishment and initiate reorders as needed.

    + Pick, stage, and deliver items to production, expediting as required.

    + Conduct cycle counts and resolve any inventory discrepancies.

    + Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas according to the 5S methodology.

    + Handle discrepant materials such as RTV, RTS, rework, and scrap.

    + Inspect, maintain, and repair equipment including scales, carts, pallet jacks, and forklifts.

    + Assist other departments to ensure material availability.

    + Provide backup support for shipping and receiving tasks.

    Essential Skills

    + Material handling experience

    + Proficiency with inventory management

    + Experience using RF scanners

    + Skills in packaging, unloading, packing, and shipping

    + Experience with receiving and order picking

    Work Environment

    The work environment is dynamic and involves various material handling tasks. You will use different technologies and equipment, including scales, carts, pallet jacks, and forklifts. The position requires adherence to safety and organizational standards, following the 5S methodology to maintain a clean and efficient workspace.

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract position based out of Salem, OR.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
