Job Description

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for completing preventative maintenance and repairs on industrial facility equipment, including HVAC systems, fire safety systems, plumbing, and electrical systems. This role requires competence in maintaining, troubleshooting, and executing substantial equipment repairs, both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

+ Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, fire safety systems, plumbing, and electrical systems.

+ Troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment such as transformers, motors, motor starters, MCC panels, MCC circuits, and variable frequency drives.

+ Replace damaged or broken wires and cables.

+ Maintain and repair building and parking lot lighting, including photoelectric eyes, emergency lights, exit lights, and 120-volt outlets.

+ Rebuild pumps, steam traps, valves, and electrical and pneumatic solenoid devices.

+ Paint walls and fix leaks and stoppages in plumbing as necessary.

+ Repair or replace sinks, piping, valves, or drains.

+ Document work in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Work Environment

The role is based on-site at a manufacturing facility, operating on a day shift from Monday to Friday. The work environment requires the use of personal protective equipment, including steel-toecap shoes, hearing protection, hardhat, eye protection, and hair protection.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Owensboro, KY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00/hr.
