Job Title: General Laborer
Job Description
Join a dynamic team at an industry-leading precast concrete production facility. As a General Laborer, you will contribute to the creation of essential construction materials by engaging in various hands-on tasks. This role requires physical strength and stamina, as you will be bending, lifting, and working in diverse weather conditions.
Responsibilities
+ Lean over and bend throughout the day to complete various tasks.
+ Produce concrete columns and panel beds.
+ Pull and tie rebar to reinforce concrete structures.
+ Set forms for concrete molds.
+ Assist in cleaning and maintaining the workspace as needed.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in construction, landscaping, or general labor.
+ Knowledge of precast concrete production.
+ Ability to tie rebar and work with concrete slabs and finishing.
+ Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and machine operations.
+ Basic carpentry skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Ability to lift up to 70 lbs consistently.
+ Ability to stand for up to 10 hours a day.
+ 6+ months of experience in a hot and heavy work environment.
+ Preferred: 1 year of construction experience.
+ Preferred: 1 year of concrete experience, either residential or commercial.
+ Preferred: 6+ months of experience in rebar tying, form setting, and concrete finishing.
+ Farming or mechanical background is ideal.

Work Environment
You will work in a concrete facility with open ends for air flow, though it can be hot in summer and cold in winter. The environment is non-climate controlled, with kilns on one end that can increase temperatures. The typical work hours are from 5:30 am until the job is finished, usually between 2:00 pm and 2:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with possible overtime on Saturdays. The team size ranges from 8 to 12 members, with a total of 65 in the structural division. The dress code includes steel-toed boots, jeans, and short-sleeve shirts, with safety glasses and hard hats provided. Hearing protection is available if needed. New employees start on Tuesdays at 7:00 am for a safety orientation, followed by a facility tour and integration into a crew.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
