    Job Title: Material Handler

    Job Description

    As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in providing shipping, receiving, storage, and order fulfillment services for finished goods inventory, materials, supplies, parts, and equipment. This position requires the ability to operate a cherry picker forklift and perform duties at various heights. The position offers a potential for temp to perm placement with varying work hours based on needs.

    Responsibilities

    + Pick, pack, sort, arrange, count, store, and correctly process items for storage and/or shipment according to established procedures and customer requirements.

    + Receive materials and/or finished goods daily, ensuring that the quality, type, and amount of materials received are correct with proper documentation.

    + Work in a warehouse environment under various temperatures, including room temperature, cold-room, and freezer-room settings.

    + Operate distribution equipment safely and effectively as required.

    + Complete company-specific training requirements and adhere to all relevant standards and quality policies.

    Essential Skills

    + High school diploma or equivalent.

    + 0-2 years of related experience in logistics, preferably within a life science company.

    + Ability to consistently and independently follow policies, procedures, and instructions to meet schedules.

    + Experience operating powered industrial trucks and equipment at various heights.

    + Basic computer skills to navigate ERP systems, Outlook, and shipping software.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

    + Comfortable working at heights.

    Work Environment

     

    The role is based in a warehouse environment subject to varying temperatures, ranging from room temperature to cold and freezer conditions. The job involves repetitive tasks, with physical demands such as walking, standing, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Noise levels are moderate to high, and flexibility in work schedules and overtime is required. Occasional local travel may be necessary.

    This is a Contract position based out of Greencastle, PA.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $20.35/hr.
