    Job Title: Pre-Production Operator

    Job Description

    This position involves working as a Pre-Production Operator in a clean room environment to manufacture various styles of French catheters. As part of the Research & Development team, you will be expected to accurately complete tasks according to specifications and within defined timelines. This role involves assembly of catheter components, stringing catheters, reflow, liner stretching, coiling, braiding, skiving, annealing, terminating braid coils, loading extrusions, visual inspection, and final packaging. The job requires the use of small hand tools, tweezers, and microscopes, as some builds can be complex with up to 17 different stages.

    Responsibilities

    + Assemble catheter components accurately according to specifications.

    + Communicate effectively with the Research & Development team.

    + Utilize small hand tools, tweezers, and microscopes to build catheters.

    + Participate in challenging projects and flex to different product lines as needed.

    + Complete tasks within defined timelines to support R&D projects.

    + Read, understand, and follow SOPs, GDPs, and safety procedures.

    + Perform manual/hand assembly, including braiding, stretching, and pulling catheters by hand.

    + Conduct visual inspection and final packaging of the products.

    Essential Skills

    + 1-3+ years of medical assembly experience, particularly in catheter assemblies.

    + Experience using a microscope/smartscopes.

    + Proficiency in braiding processes, annealing, and reflow.

    + Ability to use hand tools such as tweezers, micrometers, and calipers.

    + Basic computer skills.

    + Ability to read and follow SOPs and GDPs.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Willingness to learn and be cross-trained.

    + Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a clean room environment that is well-lit and temperature-controlled. The facility is expanding, and the clean room requires gowning, smocks, hair nets, and glasses. The position operates on the 1st shift, Monday through Thursday, 5am-3:30pm, with flexibility required for possible additional hours, most likely on Fridays.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Brooklyn Park, MN.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
