Description

Our team is seeking an early-career Accounting Assistant to join our growing company in San Leandro. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start or advance their accounting career while gaining exposure to multiple areas of accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Process accounts payable transactions, including coding invoices, reconciling vendor statements, and ensuring timely payments

+ Support accounts receivable: generate invoices, post payments, and monitor aging reports

+ Assist with general accounting duties such as data entry, reconciliations, and maintaining accurate records

+ Contribute to month-end and year-end close processes

+ Provide support for audit and compliance requests

+ Communicate professionally with internal teams and external vendors/customers

+ Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards

Requirements

+ 1–2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience (internship or coursework considered)

+ Working knowledge of accounts payable and/or accounts receivable functions

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software preferred

+ Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills

+ Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
