Description

The Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for managing procurement activities to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will have experience in purchasing processes and a solid understanding of basic accounting principles.

+ Source and evaluate suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.

+ Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring compliance with company policies.

+ Maintain vendor relationships and negotiate pricing and terms.

+ Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment as needed.

+ Track shipments and resolve delivery issues promptly.

+ Match purchase orders with invoices and verify accuracy.

+ Assist with accounts payable by coding invoices and reconciling discrepancies.

+ Support month-end closing by providing purchasing and expense data.

+ Maintain accurate purchasing records and vendor files.

+ Generate reports on purchasing activities, cost analysis, and budget adherence.

Requirements

+ Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, or related field preferred.

+ 2+ years in purchasing or procurement.

+ Basic accounting experience (invoice processing, reconciliations, expense tracking).

+ Strong negotiation and communication skills.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.

+ Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
