    Job Title: Quality Assurance Associate

    Job Description

    The Quality Assurance Assistant Inspector plays a pivotal role in supporting the QA Manager/Chief Inspector in driving regulatory compliance, continuous improvement, and audit-ready operational excellence within the FAA Part 145 Repair Station. This role provides direct support to inspection, training, records, and calibration functions to ensure a seamless and compliant quality environment across the organization.

    Responsibilities

    + Assist the QA Manager/Chief Inspector in daily oversight of the Inspection Department, ensuring adherence to FAA Part 145 requirements.

    + Support the execution and documentation of required inspections on completed maintenance, repair, and alteration work.

    + Ensure all inspection records, forms, and maintenance releases, including FAA Form 337 when applicable, are accurately completed and retained.

    + Maintain current technical data including applicable FARs, Type Certificate Data Sheets, Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives, manufacturer manuals, and approved repair/overhaul data.

    + Verify that the latest revisions of all technical publications are controlled, accessible, and utilized by inspection personnel.

    + Monitor and manage rejected/unsalvageable parts to ensure proper quarantine, tagging, and documented disposition preventing unauthorized reuse.

    + Maintain company training records for all technical personnel in alignment with the Repair Station Training Program.

    + Assist with coordination of employee onboarding, recurrent training, and qualification tracking to ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards.

    + Support oversight of inspection tooling and precision test equipment, ensuring calibration records are maintained and tools remain in serviceable condition.

    + Track shortages and assist in maintaining tool crib stock, ensuring availability of required equipment for inspection personnel.

    + Maintain organized records of completed work orders, inspection forms, and associated documentation for efficient retrieval during audits or compliance reviews.

    + Support audit preparation activities including internal audits, vendor audits, and FAA surveillance audits.

    + Provide administrative and compliance support to all Quality and Inspection personnel as directed.

    + Perform additional duties in support of the Repair Station’s Quality Program at management’s discretion.

    Essential Skills

    + A&P license

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Valid Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License

    + Minimum 2 years of administrative, quality, or maintenance documentation experience within aviation or a regulated environment.

    + Strong organizational capability with high attention to detail and accuracy.

    + Ability to read, interpret, and apply FAA regulations and technical publications.

    + Proficiency in English with clear written and verbal communication skills.

    + Ability to type 50–60 WPM and utilize MS Office Suite and digital record systems.

    + Successful participation in FAA Drug & Alcohol Testing Program.

    + Completion and passing of Repair Station Manual, Quality Control Manual, and Training Manual exams within initial training period.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Englewood, CO.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
