    Job Title: Material Handler

    Job Description

    The Material Handler is responsible for receiving raw materials and fulfilling material needs for front-end production in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role involves ensuring a consistent flow of raw materials to and from each production work area.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate forklifts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

    + Maintain the flow of raw materials to and from production areas.

    + Ensure all machine operators have the correct raw materials loaded in cages.

    + Maximize production outputs by managing raw material replenishment.

    + Unload, inspect, mark, tag, record, and verify all inbound raw material shipments.

    + Handle 2,000 lb. coils with critical care and safety.

    + Perform FIFO material rotation in raw material staging and record scrap at the end of each shift from each machine.

    + Adhere to and maintain compliance with established systems, policies, and procedures.

    + Comply with all safety and housekeeping expectations and 5S standards.

    + Keep supervisors informed of progress, issues, and outages.

    Essential Skills

    + 1+ year of material handling experience with forklifts.

    + Experience in shipping/receiving and inventory management.

    + Proficiency in forklift operation and general labor tasks.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with ERP systems and RF scanners.

    + Inventory experience in a manufacturing or production setting is preferred.

    Work Environment

     

    The role is set in a large production environment, working closely with production team members to coordinate orders from sales teams. The standard working hours are Monday to Friday, from 6am to 2:30pm.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $21.50/hr.
