We're looking for an Intermediate Systems Integration Engineer in San Jose CA who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our clients’ business. Join us and you’ll have the chance to work on projects including semi-conductor, industrial and commercial facilities. You’ll be accountable for schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering and programming tasks, as you gain familiarity with the client’s expectations, scope, budget, and schedule. You’ll also provide on-site assistance during startup, coordinate work activities with other staff members and the discipline lead. Your primary focus will be on configuration and programming of facility management system PLCs and HMI/SCADA interfaces. The role has opportunity in growth expansion to work with our team in highly complex systems. The multi-discipline, highly interactive team produces designs for electrical circuits and panels utilizing CAD applications, designs for control systems for a variety of facility core and shell processes and develop options and optimizations for all aspects of the process control, instrumentation, and automation. Your role keeps our company connected and we’ll support you with what you need to be successful.
Here’s what you’ll need:
• Associate of Applied Science Degree in Electronics or Instrumentation.
• At Least 3 years of Industrial System Integration Experience
• Knowledge of PLCs and SCADA systems.
• Experience with Rockwell and GE/Emerson PLCs.
• Experience with inductive automation Ignition software packages.
• Knowledge of Piping & Instrument Diagrams (P&ID).
• Proficient in using Microsoft Suite including MS Word, Access, Outlook and Excel.
Ideally, you’ll also have:
• Experience with Cimplicity™ and Rockwell programming packages.
• Understanding of Pressure, temperature, flow, level switches, calibration, and maintenance knowledge.
• Understand analog, digital, and relay field wiring and troubleshooting.
• SQL server experience.
• Experience building industrial control panels.
• Autocad experience
Other Requirements:
• Candidate must be willing to commute to the site Monday-Friday during normal business hours - nominally 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with some flexibility based on ability of site to support and employee preference.
• After hours on-call support services are occasionally requested.
• Relocation assistance may be provided for qualified candidate.
• Physical Requirements:
• Position requires field visits and walks at an active client site in various stages of construction. Applicant must be able to walk long distances, sit and stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, twist, crawl, climb ladders, work on catwalks, work in small spaces, lift and carry up to 25lbs.
• Authorized to Work:
• Applicant must complete background check, drug screen and be fully authorized to work for any client in the United States.
