Jacobs is seeking a Training Intern to support Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT)’s Transportation Engineering Training Program (TETP) team in Denver CO in Spring 2026, supporting projects that enhance workforce development and training initiatives.
This is an exciting opportunity for you to gain hands-on experience in support of delivering and managing an engineering training program. You will assist our team and work with CDOT TETP in various aspects of training delivery, content implementation, and learning management systems, applying your academic knowledge to real-world operational challenges.
Your Responsibilities May Include:
• Training Delivery Support: Assist with the operational delivery of in-person and virtual instructor-led training (ILT/VILT), including scheduling sessions, preparing materials, setting up rooms or virtual platforms, and supporting instructors during delivery.
• Training Content Implementation and Maintenance: Support the rollout of new TETP training initiatives for CDOT by helping coordinate class logistics, content updates, and material distribution.
• Transportation Core Curriculum (TCC) Coordination: Contribute to the planning and execution of the annual TCC weeklong training, designed to onboard new Engineers and Specialty Group team members into the Engineering organization.
• Learning Management System (LMS) Support: Assist with testing and quality assurance of new and existing TETP training content within the State of Colorado’s LMS, SOC Learns.
• Accessibility Compliance: Learn and apply CDOT accessibility guidelines to ensure training content and delivery methods are inclusive and compliant.
• General Support: Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of the TETP program and Jacobs’ learning initiatives.
• In pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Education, Training, Human Resources, Sociology , or a related field.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Ideally, You Will Have:
• Experience with Learning Management Systems (e.g., Cornerstone).
• Previous internship or experience in training or education support.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
