Job Title: Assistant Project Manager
Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join our team. This role supports the Project Manager by overseeing multiple layers of work and ensuring seamless communication between customers and internal teams. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple customer accounts while ensuring orders are delivered accurately and on time.
Responsibilities
+ Act as a primary point of contact for customers, providing timely updates and addressing inquiries.
+ Verify customer information and clarify details as needed.
+ Schedule on-site customer visits and coordinate logistics.
+ Create item numbers for customer orders in ERP software (Visual, sequence-based).
+ Respond promptly to customer emails and inquiries regarding order status.
+ Read and interpret Bills of Materials (BOM) and communicate requirements to purchasing.
+ Ensure any discrepancies between BOM and customer expectations are resolved.
+ Manage multiple customer accounts simultaneously (up to 45–50 at a time).
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency with Excel, including formulas.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail.
+ Experience with ERP systems.
+ Problem-solving mindset and proactive approach to resolving issues.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Previous experience in project coordination or customer service is a plus.
+ Exposure to or familiarity with Bills of Materials (BOM).
Work Environment
This position is on-site, Monday through Friday, working 8 hours between 7 AM and 5 PM.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
