Lead Developer (1 Resource)

+ 10 plus years of experience - PySpark, Java, AWS, prefers LLM openAi Azure - will be hand on Lead role - 50/50 so would like them to have experience managing team. Everything this team does touches LLM but not total deal breaker. PySpark most important skill

Must Have:

+ Extensive hands-on experience with PySpark / Java / Spark and ETL / Streaming Pipelines.

+ Experience with AWS services such as SQS, Lambda, S3, and RDS.

+ Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Python or Java.

+ Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors.

+ Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others.

+ Drives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes.

+ Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus.

+ Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle.

+ Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies.

+ Adds to the team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

Nice to Have:

+ Experience with Shell scripting and Unix systems.

+ Proficiency in using Terraform for infrastructure management.

+ Familiarity with modern LLM techniques and practical LLM use case development experience using OpenAI Azure.

Experience:

+ Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with over 10+ years of applied experience.

+ Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.

Developer (1 Resource)

Manager Notes:

+ Strong experience in PySpark, Java, and AWS.

+ LLM experience is a plus but not required.

+ Terraform is not mandatory.

+ Minimum 7+ years of experience.

+ Preference for PySpark over Java.

+ LLM and Terraform are nice to have but not required.

+ 4–5+ years of experience.

Must Have:

+ Extensive hands-on experience with PySpark / Java / Spark and ETL / Streaming Pipelines.

+ Experience with AWS services such as SQS, Lambda, S3, and RDS.

+ Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Python or Java.

Nice to Have:

+ Experience with Shell scripting and Unix systems.

+ Proficiency in using Terraform for infrastructure management.

+ Familiarity with modern LLM techniques and practical LLM use case development experience using OpenAI Azure.

Experience:

+ Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with over 4–5+ years of applied experience.

+ Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Houston, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $85.00/hr.
