    Supply Chain Sr. Mgr- Replacement Parts / Kits and Upgrade Assemblies - APS - Smyrna, GA

    The Opportunity:

    Lead a dedicated, high-performing team that operates as an integral department within our beverage packaging machinery systems organization. This role supports our customers\u2019 machinery uptime and overall line performance by delivering timely, high-quality upgrades and replacement parts\u2014directly supporting carton consumption and driving high-margin parts revenue. This customer centric Manager will own team strategy, operations, procurement, fostering a culture of safety, quality, collaboration and continuous improvement.

    How you will impact Smurfit Westrock:

    Strategic Leadership

    • Develop, build and lead a highly efficient and effective spare parts / kits organization that consistently delivers exceptional customer service.

    • Collaborate with operations and commercial teams and have a continuous improvement mindset.

    • Develop and execute business plans, objectives aligned with Beverage Machinery Systems goals and strategic vision.

    • Lead parts revenue stream - Driving proactive sales initiatives (e.g., upgrade kits, overhaul kits, parts subscriptions) to transition from reactive to proactive sales.

    Operational Excellence

    • Plan, direct, and coordinate all functions for the Replacement & Upgrade Parts team from sales and order entry through component procurement, part assembly, inventory management, customer service and shipping/delivery.

    • Optimize lead times for U.S. and France spare parts while balancing inventory and working capital.

    • Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives (Six Sigma, DMAIC, Kaizen).

    • Ensure timely delivery of quality parts that meet or exceed customer expectations including after-hours/ weekend customer support and emergency parts delivery.

    Supplier & Customer Management

    • Continually identify, build and develop strategic alliances with key suppliers, and machines shops to overcome challenges of procuring small-quantity, short lead time custom parts and component orders.

    • Negotiate sourcing strategies and manage supplier relationships for cost and quality optimization.

    • Build strong internal partnerships with Technical Service, Field Service and Engineering to support parts delivery and revenue goals.

    Team Leadership & Development

    • Create a high-performing team environment with clear vision and accountability.

    • Coach and develop team members through performance reviews, training programs, and career development plans.

    • Foster a culture of safety, ownership, and operational performance supported by metrics and engagement.

    What You Need to Succeed:

    • BS in Engineering

    • 10+ years in engineering, sourcing, and delivering custom fabricated parts.

    • Strong knowledge of OEM parts supply including mechanical and automation/motion control electrical components.

    • Experience with Engineer to Order ERP systems (JobScope or similar) and CAD software.

    • Ability to travel for supplier development and relationship management.

    • Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.

    • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.

    • Ability to respond quickly to changing demands and drive change initiatives.
