    Top Skills

    + 5+ years of experience in structured cabling (ISP and OSP), pathway, distribution systems design, physical security, and estimating

    + Ability to read and interpret RFPs, specifications, and drawings

    + Familiarity with fiber, copper, conduit, raceway, surveillance, and access control

    + Basic knowledge of switching, routing, and wireless (highly desirable)

    Description

    Our client is looking for an Estimator II to join their Engineering & Estimation Department. This role will support both Sales and Engineering teams by preparing accurate cost estimates and proposals for IT infrastructure projects. You will work closely with clients, internal teams, and vendors to scope, design, and estimate solutions focused on structured cabling and physical security.

    Day-to-day responsibilities include:

    + Attending pre-sales meetings to gather requirements

    + Reviewing RFPs, RFQs, SOWs, and design documents

    + Preparing bills of materials and cost estimates

    + Developing conceptual and design drawings using Visio or Bluebeam

    + Documenting meetings, site walks, and scopes of work

    + Supporting Operations teams during project execution

     

    This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical knowledge and excellent communication skills. Local travel to client sites will be required.

     

    Additional Details

    Role:

    Estimator II responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and proposals for IT and infrastructure projects, with emphasis on structured cabling and physical security.

    Description of Work to Be Performed:

    Review RFPs, RFQs, and design documents; prepare bills of materials and cost estimates; develop conceptual and design drawings; document meetings and site walks; support project execution.

    Specified Productivity Speed / Number of Tasks / Amount of Material:

    Complete assigned estimates and proposals as directed by project requirements and client deadlines. Accuracy and compliance with company standards are expected for all deliverables.

    Time Frame for Completion:

    All assigned estimates and proposals must be completed within the time frames specified by client requests and project schedules.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Torrance, CA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
