DCR’s staff is passionate, dedicated, and continuously employs best practices that are informed by expertise, and creates a sense of place through carrying out the mission. *Job Opening:* The Department of Conservation and Recreation, seeks applicants for a Archeological Collections Curation Intern - (Unpaid Internship) to perform the following duties: Please submit a cover letter and resume as part of the application process. ** *Position Information:* Contracted Student Internship: Archeological Collections Curation Intern - (Unpaid Internship) Location: Roxbury Heritage State Park, 183 Roxbury Street, John Eliot Square, Boston Start/End Date: 1/20/2026 – 4/3/2026 Salary Rate: $0.00 (UNPAID internship) Weekly Hours: 10 hours Number of Openings: 1 position ** This internship is unpaid and designed to support students or recent graduates seeking practical experience in the field. Interns may be eligible to earn academic credit through their college or university. *General Statement of Duties and Responsibilities:* The Collections Curation Intern will assist DCR Archaeology staff with management of the agency’s archaeological collections. The successful candidate will examine bags of artifacts, collected from DCR properties. Artifacts will be counted, cleaned, described, categorized, drawn, dated, and photographed.
