Role Overview
As a Cloud Data Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud-based systems for analytics, reporting, and machine learning at a petabyte scale.
Core Responsibilities
Cloud Data Architecture Design & Implementation
+ Architect and build cloud-native platforms for data lakes, warehouses, analytics, and ML workloads
+ Deliver solutions supporting both real-time and batch analytics
AI/ML Pipeline Development
+ Design and deploy end-to-end AI/ML pipelines including data preprocessing, modeling, inference, and continuous improvement
+ Automate workflows using MLOps, CI/CD, and orchestration tools to ensure scalability and operational efficiency
Data Modeling, Integration & Quality
+ Develop robust data models, metadata strategies, and taxonomies for distributed architectures
+ Ensure high-quality data integration, lineage tracking, and lifecycle management
Technology Evaluation & Solutioning
+ Research and recommend technologies across cloud, big data, analytics, and ML domains
+ Lead proofs-of-concept and pilot implementations to validate solutions
Security, Privacy & Compliance
+ Ensure all solutions meet data security, privacy, and compliance standards
+ Collaborate with internal teams to align with regulatory requirements
Technical Collaboration & Documentation
+ Work closely with engineering, data science, IT, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions
+ Produce clear technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and supporting materials
System Optimization & Troubleshooting
+ Monitor system performance and cost-effectiveness
+ Proactively troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of San Jose, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $75.00/hr.
