    Now Hiring: Sheet Metal Superintendent

     

    Position Type: Full-Time | Local Travel Required | FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

     

    We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sheet Metal Superintendent to lead field operations and ensure the successful execution of our construction projects. This role is pivotal in managing day-to-day job site activities, maintaining quality control, and coordinating subcontractors to meet project goals efficiently and safely.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

     

    What You’ll Do

    Reporting to the Department Manager, your role will include:

    + Oversee daily job site operations and short-term scheduling

    + Coordinate staffing needs and participate in hiring decisions

    + Attend preconstruction meetings and site orientations

    + Ensure compliance with plans, specifications, codes, and inspection procedures

    + Manage field office setup, temporary services, and equipment logistics

    + Collaborate with Project Manager on scheduling and procurement

    + Monitor labor reports and field staff performance

    + Enforce safety policies and conduct weekly safety meetings

    + Maintain quality control and resolve on-site conflicts

    + Submit required documentation and timecards promptly

    + Participate in project closeout and walk-throughs

    Qualifications

    What You Bring

    Required:

    + Minimum 5 years of construction supervision experience

    + Completion of a State Union Apprenticeship program

    + Valid Driver’s License

    + Strong understanding of safety procedures and construction law

    + High School diploma or GED

    Preferred:

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based applications

    + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    + Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects

    + High level of confidentiality and professionalism
