    Are you ready to put your years of experience to work at Northrop Grumman? If so, our Aeronautics Systems Sector is seeking a **Principal** **System Administrator** to join our growing team in **Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.**

     

    You will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Lifecycle Sustainment and Modernization Solutions (LSMS). LSMS provides sustainment support for the US Air Force B-1 and B-2 Bombers, E-3 Sentry, Airborne Warning and Control System, and numerous other Government platforms. We have a dynamic, people-focused environment where the System Administrator will interact with engineers, users, and customers. Our diverse work environment is comprised of nearly equal parts multidisciplinary engineers and other technical experts. Team members will interact with external Government customers and civilian partners on a regular basis. As a key team member, you’ll function in a variety of specializations.

    Responsibilities:

    + Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators

    + Interacts with users and evaluate vendor products

    + Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provide backup recovery

    + Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources

    + Ancillary duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space

    Basic Qualifications:

    + Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline with a minimum of 5 years of Computer support experience or a A master’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline with a minimum of 3 years of computer support experience or a PhD degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline. May consider 9 years of Computer support experience with a high school degree /GED.

    + Experience with troubleshooting, installing, and configuring computer-related hardware, software, and printers

    + Provides technical advice, training, and troubleshooting assistance to organizational level technicians and maintenance leadership for operation and repair of the aircraft mission systems

    + Conducts technical analysis of product implementations, modifications, and enhancements to product in accordance with specific customer specifications and implementations

    + Troubleshoots technical problems and issues, determines technical solutions in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommends actions to company or customer representatives for coordinative product solutions

    + Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications

    + Collaborates with other teammates and has reach-back to engineering for problem analysis and resolution

    + Conducts technical training and product briefing with customers, vendors, and company representatives

    + Acts as local on-site representative to customer’s organization

    + Recommends corrective actions and resolves problems using technical publications and analytic techniques

    + Records information on maintenance data collection forms and automated systems

    + Troubleshoots technical problems and issues, determines technical solutions in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommends actions to company or customer representatives for coordinative product solutions in minimum time

    + Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications

    + Candidate must have experience using USAF technical data, such TOAP and S1000D

    + Candidate must have experience in the sustainment of E-3 Sentry 4045 mission computing ground and aircraft systems

    + Must have an active DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)

    + Must be able to work on-site in Oklahoma, OK. No relocation provided

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Active DoD Secret Security Clearance (or higher)

    + Experience imaging, installing, and configuring operating systems in an enterprise environment

    + Microsoft certifications

    + Valid COMPTIA Security+ CE certification

    + Experience testing evaluations and maintenance of computers, systems, networks, productivity, and miscellaneous hardware and software

     

    Primary Level Salary Range: $82,100.00 - $123,100.00

     

    The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

     

    Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
