    NOTE: This position is open to existing NuScale employees and interns only. Position will be based in our Houston, TX office.

     

    POSITION SUMMARY: This position is part of NuScale’s Internal Audit group and offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and growing organization. The Audit Associate will support the execution of internal audits, including SOX compliance testing, operational audits, and special projects. Work assignments will be based on business needs and individual capability. The role requires a motivated professional who can work independently and collaboratively across functions, leveraging both in-person and remote tools (video, phone, email).

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Assist with the performance of internal audits in accordance with established audit programs and company policies. Tools may include AuditBoard and Microsoft Office applications.

    + Participate in planning, fieldwork, and reporting phases of audits, and communicates results to cross-functional management teams.

    + Assist in performing routine assessments and provide updates as needed.

    + Deliver high quality work and build relationships across the organization.

    + Performs other duties as assigned.

    + Safety Culture: Adheres to the NuScale Safety culture and is expected to model safe behavior and influence peers to meet high standards.

    + Quality Assurance: Demonstrated understanding and implementation of quality assurance regulations, standards and guidelines of 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and NQA-1 preferred.

    MINIMUM SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES:

    + Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field is required . Progress toward a CPA, CIA, or CISA certification preferred.

    + Experience: Minimum of prior internship in an audit focused organization is required. 1 or more years of full-time audit experience is preferred. Must possess a s trong understanding of accounting concepts, internal controls, and risk management principles. Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, exceptional organization abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

    + Industry Requirements: Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.

    The target pay range for this position is $66,534 - $80,315 annually. The full pay range is $59,665 - $93,313 annually.

     

    At NuScale, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, full-time working experience, education and training, equity within the department.
