    **The** **Stewardship Operations Assistant** reports to the Director of Stewardship & Donor Engagement and is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and utility of stewardship data and reports that support and inform the work of the Stewardship & Donor Engagement team, as well as providing operational support for recurring reports. The position is multifaceted, requiring the ability to transition smoothly between tasks in a fast-paced office environment with time-sensitive projects. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    + Maintain and manipulate donor stewardship information in the University Advancement constituent relationship database.

    + Preserve a thorough working knowledge of Boston College donor engagement processes and the database to serve as a resource for information on stewardship activity through the production of thoughtful reports and correspondence.

    + Support the Director of Stewardship & Donor Engagement with multiple diverse tasks.

    **The Stewardship Operations Assistant** provides support to the Director of Stewardship and Donor Engagement, as well as to the core functions of the stewardship team carried out by other team members. This position also frequently collaborates with the Advancement Information Systems team to ensure the accuracy of gift purpose, donor names, and other critical data information.

     

    Working closely with the Director of Stewardship, you will maintain relevant information on the state of the Boston College endowment, which is conveyed to donors promptly, including assisting with the financial endowment reports for established funds. The Stewardship Operations Assistant also maintains procedural and protocol-related documents for the Stewardship & Donor Engagement team and assists with reconciling the team budget, including purchase card statements and receipts, as well as ordering supplies.

     

    Additionally, this position will be responsible for providing excellent, customer-service-oriented stewardship guidance and counsel to both internal and external stakeholders. You will also conduct research on best practices, peer institutions, and government rules and regulations, using your findings to recommend changes and enhancements that improve administrative effectiveness, services, and/or organizational resources.

     

    _Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $46,600 to $58,250; salary commensurate with relevant experience._

    Requirements

    This position requires a minimum of 1-3 years of increasingly responsible administrative and database experience, with strong interpersonal and organizational skills, excellent attention to detail and accuracy, a thorough knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, and specialized experience working with data and databases. This position also requires exceptional proofreading skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while working under tight deadlines.

     

    This role requires good judgment, discretion with confidential donor and student information and materials, and a customer service orientation. You must be detail-oriented and a team player who is highly motivated and dedicated to advancing higher education, with an appreciation for Jesuit Catholic education and the goals and values of Boston College.

     

    Requires a high school diploma; a bachelor’s degree is preferred. Candidates will receive initial and ongoing database training upon hire. Familiarity with Boston College systems and/or an understanding of the fundraising process is desired but not required.
