Role: IBM BPM engineer
Mandatory Skills: Middleware, WAS, BPM
Responsibilities
• Please find below the preferred skillset for this position.
• Experience with WAS servers maintenance and admin level configuration and updates on clusters and nodes
• IBM BAW platform version upgrade
• BAW Fix-packs and patches
• Apache server configuration and maintenance
• VIP and firewall configuration
• Middleware configuration experience
• Configuration of SSL/TLS security layers
• Maintenance of SSL certificate stores
• Load balancing
• Service accounts password renewal
• BAW admin roles like offline snapshot deployment delete unused snapshots increase threshold etc.
On top of these good to have would be experience with AWS cloud resources and Activiti BPM configuration.
• Manage and maintain Linux and Windows servers to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Administer Apache Tomcat Server to support application deployment and management.
• Oversee IBM WebSphere Application Server administration to enhance application performance.
• Implement cloud solutions to improve scalability and efficiency of IT infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate infrastructure solutions within the Cards & Payments domain.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to minimize downtime and maintain service quality.
• Monitor system performance and implement necessary upgrades to ensure infrastructure resilience.
• Provide technical support and guidance to team members to foster a collaborative work environment.
• Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure processes and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in infrastructure management.
• Participate in capacity planning and performance tuning to optimize resource utilization.
• Conduct regular security assessments to safeguard infrastructure against potential threats.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of infrastructure services to support business objectives.
Qualifications
• Possess strong foundational knowledge in Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Demonstrate proficiency in administering Apache Tomcat and IBM WebSphere Application Servers.
• Have a solid understanding of cloud technologies and their application in infrastructure management.
• Exhibit expertise in the Cards & Payments domain to align infrastructure solutions with business needs.
• Showcase problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Display excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Maintain a proactive approach to learning and adapting to new technologies and industry trends.
Salary and Other Compensation:
Applications will be accepted until 11/21/2025.
The annual salary for this position is between $75,000- $92,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
