We are seeking a part-time Assistant Superintendent to work Sunday, Monday and Tuesday at Manny Cantor Center from 9:00am to 5:00pm. The Assistant Superintendent is a member of the facilities management team who will handle small repairs and maintenance for the building such as mechanical systems, walls, floors, and doors. The Assistant Superintendent will also oversee overall building cleanliness, restroom supplies and safety standards, while also evaluating the work of the cleaning staff..
RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Assist in the day-to-day activities involved in property upkeep and repairs encompassing tasks related to heating, elevator functionality, HVAC and maintenance of building systems and grounds within the premises.
+ Assist staff in providing breakfast and lunch to our program participants, help with room set up, manage reports and attend to emergency calls for custodial support.
+ Prevent problems like tripped breakers leaking pipes and water intrusion.
+ Repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment when needed.
+ Effectively manage the regular maintenance and operation of the premises, while maintaining detailed records of inspection logs for sprinkler systems, fire extinguishers, and other building systems.
QUALIFICATIONS
+ Training in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry, or engine repair.
+ Strong interpersonal skills
+ Excellent communication skills
+ Extremely dependable and reliable, must be flexible with schedule during emergencies
+ Excellent customer service skills, handling matters in a courteous and timely manner.
