**Job Title:** OpenShift & Kubernetes Expert

**Location:** Hybrid [3-4 days]: Pittsburgh, PA, USA

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced **OpenShift& Kubernetes Platform Engineer** to design, implement, and maintain container orchestration platforms for enterprise-scale applications. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Red Hat OpenShift, Linux systems, and automation tools, with a strong ability to troubleshoot complex issues and deliver robust solutions in high-pressure environments.

In this role, you will

Platform Management & Deployment

+ Design, deploy, and manage Red Hat OpenShift or other Kubernetes-based platforms for large-scale application environments.

+ Configure networking and storage architectures to support containerized workloads.

+ Ensure platform scalability, security, and high availability.

System Administration & Linux Expertise

+ Administer Red Hat Linux operating systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance.

+ Utilize Linux tools for system monitoring, troubleshooting, and automation.

Cloud & Infrastructure Integration

+ (Nice to have) Integrate OpenShift/Kubernetes platforms with cloud environments for hybrid deployments.

+ Collaborate on infrastructure planning and resource optimization.

Automation & CI/CD

+ Implement automation solutions using ArgoCD, Ansible, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.

+ Streamline deployment processes and reduce manual intervention through scripting and orchestration.

Troubleshooting & Support

+ Provide advanced troubleshooting for platform and application issues.

+ Work closely with customers, third-party vendors, and internal teams to resolve technical challenges.

+ Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.

Operational Excellence

+ Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.

+ Be available for weekend shifts as needed to support critical operations.

+ Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing.

What you’ll need to succeed (required skills)

+ 8+ years of professional experience in IT infrastructure and platform engineering.

+ 5+ years of hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift or other Kubernetes platforms.

+ 5+ years of experience working with Red Hat Linux operating systems.

+ Strong understanding of networking and storage architectures for container platforms.

+ Experience with hosted applications or large-scale deployments.

+ Solid troubleshooting skills and a passion for problem-solving.

+ Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and cross-functional teams.

+ Ability to handle multiple priorities and think creatively under pressure.

Preferred skills: what will help you stand out

+ Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI).

+ Familiarity with advanced automation tools and DevOps practices.

+ Exposure to enterprise-grade security and compliance standards.
