    Job Description

    EPS Corporation is seeking a highly skilledSenior Systems Administrator (Unix/Linux)to support enterprise-level networks and systems within a secure and mission-critical environment. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Unix/Linux administration, network security, and performance optimization, ensuring system reliability, security, and efficiency.

    Requirements

    Key Responsibilities

    + Administer, maintain, and supportUnix/Linux operating systems, networks, and software applications.

    + Performsystem installation, configuration, and integrationof hardware, operating systems, and COTS software.

    + Managesystem backups, recovery procedures, and disaster recoveryoperations to ensure data integrity and availability.

    + Conductsystem performance monitoring, tuning, and optimizationto maintain operational efficiency.

    + Implement and maintainsecurity configurations, access controls, and vulnerability management in accordance with DoD and company standards.

    + Troubleshoothardware, software, and network issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.

    + Manage system resources, user accounts, file systems, and library structures.

    + Support and enforce network security policies, including the use of firewalls and intrusion detection/prevention systems.

    + Stay current on emergingcyber threats, attack methods, and detection toolsto ensure proactive defense.

    Required Qualifications

    ACTIVE TOP SECRET

    + Six (6) yearsof professional experience inUnix and/or Linux system administrationof networks and software systems.

    + Hands-on experience in:

    + System backup and recovery

    + Software and security management

    + Hardware installation and configuration

    + Performance tuning and troubleshooting

    + Network administrationusing protocols such asTCP/IP

    + Experience withmajor network security toolssuch as firewalls, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability assessment tools.

    + Knowledge ofcomputing and networking vulnerabilities,attack vectors, andmitigation/detection methods.

    + Must meetDoD 8570 IAT Level IIIcertification requirements (e.g., CISSP, CASP+, or equivalent).

    + Must possess an activeT5 investigation(Top Secret eligibility or higher).

    + Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Experience withautomation and configuration management tools(e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).

    + Familiarity withcloud or virtualized environments(e.g., VMware, AWS, Azure).

    + Knowledge ofSTIG compliance,RMF, or other DoD cybersecurity frameworks.
