    Special Education Teacher | $65/hr | Custer Park, IL | Full-Time | K–12 | 26 Weeks + ESY

     

    Amergis Educational Staffing is hiring three full-time Special Education Teachers (LBS1) to support a therapeutic program in the Custer Park, IL area. These roles begin ASAP and extend through the end of the school year, with the option to continue into the Extended School Year (ESY).

    Position Details

    + Location: Custer Park, IL

    + Start Date: November 26, 2025

    + End Date: End of school year + ESY

    + Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30am–3:30pm

    + Hours: 35 hours/week

    + Breaks: 30-minute unpaid lunch

    + Pay Rate: $65/hr

    + Modality: In-person only

    + Interview Format: In-person

    Open Positions

    + Elementary (K–3rd): Multi-Needs Teacher

    + Life skills-focused

    + Assistive tech, picture-based communication

    + Diapering, nonverbal, hand-over-hand care

    + Middle School (4th–8th): PALS Teacher

    + Higher-functioning students on the spectrum

    + Focus on social skills development

    + Middle to High School (4th–12th): Academic Teacher (ACI)

    + Students not on the spectrum

    + Academics + social-emotional learning

    Requirements

    + Valid Illinois teaching certificate (LBS1 endorsement preferred)

    + Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred)

    + Minimum one year of teaching experience (preferred)

    + Current CPR, TB screening, and health certificate (if applicable)

    + Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

    + Must be at least 18 years of age
