Capgemini is seeking an experienced Senior Cloud & HPC Engineer to accelerate research computing initiatives in the biotech and pharmaceutical sectors. In this role, you will collaborate with data scientists, software developers, and platform teams to design and deliver scalable, secure, and efficient solutions for research workflows on cloud and High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments.
Your role
+ Design and maintain HPC and cloud-based workflows for biotech research.
+ Migrate legacy HPC workflows to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
+ Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps.
+ Implement Infrastructure-as-Code practices with Terraform.
+ Collaborate to improve permission management, data access, and workflow automation.
+ Establish engineering standards and best practices through: Standard containers, Library development, Workflow templates, and CI/CD pipelines
+ Promote reproducibility and maintainability across research codebases.
+ Provide ad-hoc engineering support and troubleshooting for scientists in UK and US East Coast time zones.
Your skills & experience
+ 7 years developing cloud solutions for biotech/biopharma or similar specialized industries.
+ Expertise in Google Cloud Platform (BigTable, BigQuery, Cloud Run).
+ Experience with HPC workflows and HPC-to-cloud migrations.
+ Proficiency in Nextflow pipelines and cloud deployments.
+ Strong DevOps skills: containerization, CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform).
+ Advanced Python and shell scripting.
+ Familiarity with big data tools (BigQuery optimization a plus).
+ Java experience preferred.
