Job Description

We’re looking for a **Senior Team Leader** who thrives on turning strategy into action. This role is about leadership at the operational level, empowering your team, ensuring technical excellence, and aligning resources to deliver exceptional results. You’ll guide talented professionals, influence priorities, and help shape the trajectory of our Energy practice with a focus on substation design and power generation projects.
Responsibilities:
+ Lead with Purpose: Manage daily operations of your team, setting clear goals that support broader objectives.
+ Drive Excellence: Oversee project delivery—schedule, budget, quality, and technical execution—while maintaining Olsson’s hallmark of innovation.
+ Champion Collaboration: Align resources and priorities across disciplines to ensure seamless execution and consistent results.
+ Strengthen Relationships: Build trust with clients through proactive communication and exceptional service.
+ Advance Growth: Support business development and proposal efforts that expand our impact in the energy market, particularly in substation and power generation.
+ Mentor and Develop: Provide coaching and feedback to team members, fostering professional growth and technical expertise.
+ Optimize Performance: Monitor utilization, workload distribution, and staffing needs to keep projects moving and people supported.
Qualifications

You bring to the team:
+ Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to manage client relationships and contribute to business development.
+ Bachelor’s degree in engineering, sciences, construction, planning, or related field preferred (associate degree with equivalent experience considered).
+ Minimum of 10 years of experience in an applicable field or discipline, with strong knowledge of substation and power generation systems.
+ At least 6 years supervising technical personnel with proven leadership and mentoring skills.
+ Strong understanding of energy systems, design practices, and project delivery methods.
+ Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
