    Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Responsibilities You will develop, implement and oversees Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) System Engineering processes and plans, and ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulations. You will lead relate engineering Working Group/TIMs which serves as a forum to have focused discussions on open design issues. You will establish planning and schedule milestones, such as incremental reviews of data, assessment of readiness to proceed to the next design milestone in coordination with external stakeholders on platform requirements. You will coordinate and track CPS requirements artifacts and progression to navy fielding. You will lead various IPTs, working groups, and review board meetings, to collect information in support of CPS incremental development. You will coordinate across CPS branches and with platform and platform combat system offices to achieve optimal design solutions within performance, cost and schedule constraints. You will represent SSP/SPC in assigned areas of responsibility when interfacing with field activities, fleet representatives, contractors, and consultants to resolve complex and/or controversial issues. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or NH-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: planning and executing a comprehensive evaluation system (ex. proposed costs, program development, and performance) for missile/weapon system development, test programs and assembly operations. You will use system engineering methods and techniques for the near-term design decisions and long-term sustainment and operation of weapon system. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. This announcement uses the Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project (AcqDemo) Business & Technical Management direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service. This position has a control point; thus, the salary range may be capped at GS-15, step 05, which is equivalent to $195,200. If your current salary is above this amount, your salary may be matched. Certain incentives (such as Recruitment) may be authorized to eligible selectees. Several vacancies may be filled. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.
