    FOX44/KWKT-TV, serving central Texas, is seeking a skilled and motivated Weekend Weather Anchor to join our award-winning weather department, recognized for the most accurate forecasts in Central Texas. This is an exciting opportunity to work in one of the nation’s most dynamic weather markets while making a meaningful impact on your community and station success.

     

    Position Overview:Weekend Weather Anchor is responsible for evening newscasts, weekend reporting, and supporting severe weather coverage alongside our CBM-certified Chief Meteorologist.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Deliver accurate, engaging forecasts across TV and digital platforms

    + Anchor weekend evening weather segments

    + Support severe weather coverage with our CBM-certified Chief Meteorologist

    + Report three days a week on weather-related stories

    + Engage with viewers on social media

    + Represent the station at community events

    + Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.

    + Take on additional responsibilities as assigned to support team and station goals.

    Qualifications:

    + Degree in Meteorology or related field

    + Strong forecasting and radar interpretation skills

    + Confident, authentic on-air presence

    + Digital and social media proficiency

    + Team player with excellent communication skills

    + Experience with Baron systems is a plus

    + Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

    + Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
