Field Service and Repair Technician

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

+ Support all pre and post sales activities.

+ Service and repair DC power supplies and electronic loads by troubleshooting to a module level.

+ Install and commission new power systems at customers’ facility.

+ Provide training to customers on the use of power supplies and electronic loads.

+ Read electrical schematics.

+ Provide excellent customer support.

+ Write detailed service and field reports.

+ Coordinate with other teams to resolve complex application issues.

+ Support quality assurance functions to ensure a superior customer experience.

+ Drive customer issues to resolution

+ Provide feedback to factory regarding field failures and common application questions.

+ Reproduce customer failures in the lab in order to report the information to factory engineers.

+ Plan and record how-to and product demo videos.

+ Manage customer expectations while working on resolving customer’s issue.

Requirements:

+ Proven experience as a power electronics repair technician or similar role.

+ Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.

+ Ability to write detailed and accurate reports.

+ Excellent organizational skills

+ Familiarity with electronic theory, troubleshooting and reading schematics.

+ Must be a self-starter, work independently, detail oriented, well organized and the ability to multitask with strong work ethics.

+ Computer skills including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point.

+ Must be able to pass a nationwide background check / drug screen.

+ Candidate must be authorized to work in the US.

+ Able to lift 50lbs and willingness to operate a hand-lift.

+ Travel up to 50%

+ Location: San Diego, CA

Compensations & Benefits:

+ Salary and Yearly Bonus. 65K-80K

Pay Range

The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 47,500.00 - 88,100.00
