Practice Overview
The Conflict Management team is responsible for performing high-level client risk assessments, analyzing and clearing legal and commercial conflicts of interest, client and new hire due diligence, and assists with RFPs.
Role Overview:
Ankura Consulting is looking for a full-time Conflicts Leader who will be responsible for managing the firm’s conflict management function, ensuring potential risks are identified and resolved, and new engagements are aligned with the firm’s policies and strategies. This role can be remote based or hybrid from an Ankura east coast or central time zone office. This role will work the hours of 830AM–530PM EST. Based on candidate qualifications this role could be filled at the Manager or Director level.
Responsibilities:
+ Manage the day-to-day operations and staff of the Conflict Management group, including training and management of staff, ensuring compliance with established procedures, data integrity is maintained, and new hire and acquisition integrations are effectively managed.
+ Ensure high standards for customer service are met, including 24-hour turn-around for initial conflict checks and coverage for after-hours/urgent responses.
+ Ensure high level of quality control is maintained, including data accuracy and integrity in the conflict system, sufficient intake documentation is stored, and routine evaluation of conflict checks in process to close outdated leads.
+ Perform conflict of interest/business relationship analyses via a conflicts analytics tool, using firm policies and procedures as guidance in issue identification and ensuring sufficient information is gathered to perform a thorough analysis, which may involve discussions with senior staff and independent research through external sources, including Pacer and other sources as needed.
+ Act as the primary contact for the new client intake software, including provision of training to field staff on use of the software and dashboard management.
+ Other duties as requested.
Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
+ 5+ years of experience in conflicts analysis
+ Experience in the consulting industry is required.
+ Strong supervision and staff management skills
+ Ability to identify and analyze complex issues (critical thinking)
+ Strong research skills
+ Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
+ Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
+ Ability to work efficiently with a high degree of accuracy
+ In depth understanding of conflict of interests and new client intake principles
+ General understanding of the legal and/or business consulting industries preferred
+ Fundamental knowledge of Microsoft suite of products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Acrobat)
+ Experience with InTapp Open or similar conflict software.
+ Boolean search logic experience is essential.

+ For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in California, Colorado, New York or other states with relevant pay transparency laws, Ankura is required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the said markets and considers a broad range of factors including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. The range does not include additional benefits outside of salary. At Ankura, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each role. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range is between $95,000 to $160,000; this range is not a promise of a particular wage.
