    Job Description

    A client in the Spring, TX area is looking for an IT Financials Manager. The IT Financial Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the IT department, ensuring cost-effective delivery of IT services that align with organizational goals and drive business value. This role involves developing and managing IT budgets, forecasting financial needs, working cross-functionally to optimize costs, analyzing financial performance, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulations. The IT Financial Manager collaborates with IT leadership, business units, and vendors to support strategic decision-making, and promote transparency in IT spending. Additionally, the Manager provides guidance, training, and consultation to employees and finance team members regarding their specific financial services and recruitment of staff as needed. Once this person is converted to an FTE they will have one person reporting to them. This position is looking to pay between $55-65/hr.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    7+ years in Finance

     

    3–5+ years in IT financial management (granular budgeting, cloud costs, software licensing)

     

    Proven experience managing IT budgets

     

    (OpEx/CapEx), forecasting, and cost optimization

     

    Strong knowledge of IT financial governance, controls (GAAP/SOX), and vendor contract collaboration

     

    Demonstrated leadership in building teams, communication of complex financial data to executives, and cross-functional collaboration

     

    Proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Excel, Hyperion Planning, HFM, SmartView, Concur, Oracle EBS/Fusion (as applicable)
