Job Description
One of Insight Global’s major clients are seeking a Senior-level Mechanical Engineer to join their organization. General responsibilities include:
• Planning minor/major equipment outages.
• Design, selection and installation of major new equipment and systems.
• Provide system and equipment technical expertise with Predictive/Preventive Maintenance work orders for plants' computer maintenance management system.
• Review and monitor annual mechanical inspections at facilities
• Review of drawings, specifications, design calculations, and analysis to generation projects in development or under construction.
• Provide technical expertise with the development and execution of Capital Projects.
• Provide oversight of contractors including: engineering firms, construction, and maintenance.

Skills and Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering technology (preferably BSME)
• Proven track record in design, analysis, and maintenance of mechanical systems in power plants.
• Knowledge of power plant systems: high energy piping, pumps, control valves, tanks, heat exchangers, and cooling towers.
• Knowledge of process controls applications
• Familiarity with industry standards, codes, and regulations related to the power industry.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Solidworks) • Licensed PE (professional engineer)
