Job Description
The Supplier Management Specialist will play a critical role in managing external suppliers and ensuring successful delivery of hardware and software releases. This position involves drafting technical Statements of Work (eSOW), overseeing release planning, and authoring key GPDS deliverables. The ideal candidate will have strong technical project management skills and experience in automotive product development processes.
Key Responsibilities
Supplier Management: Draft and negotiate technical eSOWs; manage supplier deliverables and resolve software issues.
Release Planning: Plan and manage core hardware/software releases and vehicle-specific application releases, including change control and issue management.
Requirements Management: Cascade requirements and ensure sign-off with AM Co.
Documentation & Compliance: Author GPDS deliverables such as DFMEA, SCCAF (internal/external), VSCS, NID, and DVP&R.
Testing & Integration: Support integration testing with CGEA1.3C architecture and assist with engineering and launch activities.
Project Framework: Establish clear deliverables, timelines, and manage technical documentation.
$40/hr to $45/hr
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401K retirement account access with employer matching. Skills and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Programming, Computer Science, Engineering, or Business.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
Core Skills:
Supplier management and technical SOW drafting.
Strong technical writing and communication.
Hardware/software release planning and issue management.
Managing technical requirements with external suppliers. Familiarity with Ford GPDS processes.
Knowledge of automotive electrical architecture and protocols.
Experience testing hardware/software on bench or in-vehicle.
Hardware experience is a plus.
