Job Summary

A client of Insight Global is seeking a skilled CNC Router Operator to join their manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC routing machines to produce precision parts and components according to specifications. Attention to detail, technical proficiency, and the ability to read blueprints and CAD drawings are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC router machines to cut, shape, and finish materials such as wood, plastic, metal, or composites.

• Interpret and analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD files to determine machining processes.

• Load materials and tools into machines and perform necessary adjustments for accurate machining.

• Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency, making adjustments as needed.

• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC routers to minimize downtime.

• Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality, using measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.

• Maintain a clean and safe work area, following all safety protocols and company policies.

• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve processes and resolve issues.

• Document production activities, including setup details, machine logs, and quality control reports.

Skills and Requirements

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in CNC machining is a plus.

• 2+ Experience operating and programming CNC routers in a manufacturing or signage environment.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD files.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Familiarity with safety standards and machine maintenance procedures.
