Job Description
Insight Global is looing for a Landfill Operator. This person would be operating and maintain landfill sites to ensure safe and efficient waste disposal. Use heavy equipment (bulldozers, compactors, loaders) to spread, compact, and cover waste according to operational procedures. Inspect and maintain machinery and perform minor repairs.
Monitor landfill conditions for hazards, stability, and compliance with regulations. Assist with inspection of incoming waste to ensure compliance with acceptance criteria. Maintain accurate records of operations, including waste volumes and equipment usage. Perform routine site maintenance such as litter control, cleanup, and gas system inspections. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal waste management regulations. Coordinate activities of waste haulers and other site users. Assist with site development (construction of new cells, closure of completed areas).

Skills and Requirements
Minimum 1 year of heavy construction
High school diploma or GED (minimum requirement).
Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
Basic mechanical skills for equipment maintenance.
Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory compliance.
Physical ability to work outdoors in varying conditions.
Strong attention to detail for monitoring and reporting.
Valid driver’s license (some roles may require CDL).
Ability to work rotating schedules, including weekends and overtime. State and local government industry background
