As a Senior Capture Director, you will lead matrixed teams in the pursuit of large, $100M programs at DHS, DOJ, and several other federal civilian agencies. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Growth and Strategy within the Intelligence Solutions (IS) Business Area, the ideal candidate will have proven experience navigating and capturing work within the intricate terrain of the Federal Civilian market space.
We re looking for a strategic leader that thrives in fast-paced environments, has strong relationship-building skills, and is excited to introduce disruptive innovations. In this role, you ll have the opportunity to directly shape the direction of our growing Federal Civilian portfolio and will work directly with the VP of Federal Civilian to develop and execute capture strategy.
Duties and Responsibilities:
+ End-to-end pursuit leadership
+ Strategic partnering across industry and vendors
+ Gap identification and analysis driving to unique and competitive solutions
+ Development of capture plans including technical, management, past performance, and pricing strategies and win themes
+ Robust customer engagement leading to shaping successes
+ Win theme and discriminator development proficiency
+ Experience leading story board and color team reviews
+ Effective use of cross business area / cross sector solutioning and resource loading to increase PWIN and drive best in class solutions
+ Experienced in briefings to senior leadership
+ Financial acumen both in New Business Fund management and strategic pricing
+ Strong collaboration and team building skills
+ Conversant in strategic teaming and customer relationship building
+ Implement our A3 strategy (Automation, Artificial Intelligence, and Autonomy) across captures and tailor BAE Systems technology to fit the needs of the specific customer
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's Degree and 12 years work experience or equivalent experience
Required Skills and Experience
+ Desire to perform at a high level in a fast-paced environment
+ Ability to handle ambiguity and attack tasks proactively
+ Successful experience both managing and winning large (>$100M award) programs for the Federal Civilian marketspace
+ Working knowledge of solution development for Federal Civilian customers, preferably in the areas of IT, Cloud, or Cyber
+ Comfortable leveraging generative AI to assist in research, proposal review, and storyboarding
+ Understanding of how Artificial Intelligence can be implemented in IT operations to improve efficiency and delivery speed
+ Familiar with leading information technology (IT) tools and providers (e.g. ServiceNow, O365) and how to leverage enterprise license features for our customers
+ Baseline understanding of digital engineering and how to improve traceability across disparate systems and applications
+ Experience with various capture contract types and pricing strategies, including competitor assessments
+ Demonstrated success in leading multiple captures simultaneously at various stages of the opportunity lifecycle
+ Ability and desire to build and document data-driven capture strategies and plans
+ Ability to lead diverse matrixed team comprised of Solution Architects, Engineers, Subject Matter Experts, and functional support teams to develop compelling, competitive solutions for customers
+ Ability to develop strategic pricing strategies
+ Knowledge of customer community, relationships, and experience with procurement organizations in the Federal Civilian community
+ Federal contracting and procurement experience and knowledge
+ Ability to communicate (written/oral) at the most senior levels of government and with internal executives
+ Ability to think strategically
+ Ability to negotiate effectively with customers, industry partners, and teammates
+ Experienced and/or certified in Shipley or other industry-recognized capture methodologies
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
+ Experience capturing programs with DHS CBP
+ Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain customer relationships at Federal Civilian Agencies
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $169630 - $288370
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
