Job Description Summary
With minimal supervision, troubleshoots, repair, maintains machinery such as Robotic cells, Coordinate-measuring machine, CNC equipment and automation systems.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
+ Use PLC software to monitor the logic and diagnose issues, test input/output devices.
+ Troubleshoot and replaces Glass scales, encoders, servo drives, servo motors, analog and digital sensors, etc.
+ Experience using multimeters, clamp meters, and voltage testers to measure voltage, current, and oscilloscope testing devices.
+ Knowledge in preventive maintenance for CNC equipment & Robotic arms, experience with ball bar testing.
+ Works closely with maintenance engineer to resolve unusual machine or system failures.
+ Observes mechanical devices in operation and locates causes of trouble, identifies and performs required repair/maintenance
+ Dismantles devices to gain access and remove defective/faulty equipment parts
+ Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements
+ Adjusts functional parts of devices and other operational equipment
+ Repairs or replaces defective parts
+ Installs necessary functional and structural parts in devices and other equipment
+ Lubricates, cleans and performs preventive maintenance on parts/equipment
+ Starts devices to test their performance and performs necessary adjustments
+ Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts
+ Basic CNC programing & Fanuc TP programming
+ Initiates purchase order for parts and machines as needed
+ Repairs electrical equipment
+ Repairs and maintains machinery, plumbing, HVAC and preventative maintenance
+ Follows the site’s electronic preventive maintenance and work order schedule
+ Responsible for quality assurance aspects relative to the job/task performed
+ Maintains work area housekeeping and assist in department/team housekeeping efforts
+ Adheres to and follow all safety procedures, i.e., lock-out/tag-out; report safety concerns, use appropriate PPE as required, and follow all safety practices
+ Work on general facilities assignments as need
Qualifications/Requirements:
+ High School Diploma/GED
+ Minimum 10 years of experience in production equipment maintenance
+ Fanuc PMC and Alan Bradly PLC experience.
+ Willing and able to work overtime and any shift and weekends
+ Requires the ability to read, write, and speak the English language: interpret and follow written procedures, i.e. AWI (Aviation Work Instructions), etc., complete documentation, i.e. routers, etc., and follow verbal instructions
+ Requires the ability to read blueprints and schematics
+ Operate a man lift, forklift and articulated boom lift
+ Must be proficient in repairing and maintaining machinery in operating condition
+ Have demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair/replace mechanical and electro-mechanical systems
+ Working knowledge of MS Outlook and MS Excel
**ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS** :
+ Must pass physical, background, and drug screens
**Desired Characteristics** :
+ Associate’s degree or 2-year certificate in maintenance of electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and/or building maintenance
+ Experience using maintenance system
+ Effective problem identification and solution skills
+ Proven analytical and organizational ability
+ Proven experience and willingness to be self-directed and identify improvement processes
+ Ability and willingness to work effectively with others in a team setting
+ Follow and promote safe work practices
+ Communicate effectively with others
