Schedule:** **Full-Time

Shift** : **Monday- Friday 8:30AM-5PM

The role you'll contribute:

_Responsible for identifying and reducing risks to the organization, its physicians, staff, and visitors. This position ensures all claims are handled efficiently and in compliance with established protocols. Additionally, this role maintains organization and oversight of all internal claims. In addition, this position collaborates with the Risk Management team to protect the financial assets of the organization. Responsibilities for this role include actively participating in outstanding customer service and maintaining respectful relationships with all. This role contributes to the overall efficiency and effectiveness through diligent and accurate performance of assigned duties._

The value you'll bring to the team:

+ _Monitors and reports data related to claims, payouts, and loss runs to ensure timely payment of claims._

+ _Analyzes and reports aggregate claims data to Department Director/VP as requested._

+ _Organizes and manages subpoenas and depositions, providing assistance and support to employees._

+ _Manages hospital professional liability according to established protocols._

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

+ Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. [Required]

+ Understands medical technology and terminology, medical procedures/treatments, their usual risks, and expected outcomes. [Required]

+ Understanding of conflict resolution and grievance management techniques. [Required]

+ Knowledge of federal legislation, state statutes, and case law relevant to risk management and patient safety activities. [Required]

+ Understanding of the claims/litigation prevention and management process. [Required]

+ Proficient in computer software programs utilized in the department. [Required]

+ 2 years experience in/as one of the following: clinical healthcare professional risk/claims management attorney or paralegal [Required]
