Working with country desks and CGE modeler, you’ll also integrate long-term climate risks and scenarios into macro forecasts.

You’ll publish concise research notes on the Bloomberg Terminal and may present findings through Bloomberg media or at client events.

    WE’LL TRUST YOU TO:

+ Track and assess extreme events and their economic fallout.

+ Build expertise and tools to integrate climate risk scenarios into long-term forecasts.

+ Publish timely, high-quality analysis on the Bloomberg Terminal.

+ Represent the team at client events and on Bloomberg TV and radio, depending on experience.

    YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE:

+ Degree in economics, econometrics or statistics, ideally with a focus on climate economics. A PhD would be a plus.

+ 5+ years of relevant experience.

+ Strong grasp of disaster data, climate projections and empirical analysis.

+ Excellent writing, communication and collaboration skills.

    + English proficiency.

+ Energy and the initiative to provide a consistent flow of original, high-quality analysis and to operate in a fast-paced, multifaceted environment.

    WE’D LOVE TO SEE

+ Publications on climate change and extreme events.

+ Experience with geospatial or satellite data.

    + Python skills.

+ Experience generating content across a variety of formats, ranging from rapid turnaround responses to events to longer-term collaborative research.
