Responsibilities Fills vacancies by preparing job analyses, assessment questionnaires and vacancy announcements on positions comprised of a variety of pay plans, series and grades Provides expert advice, guidance and assistance to management, line officials and employees – routine to very complex matters – relating to staffing, placement, salary and wage pay administration under a variety of different pay plans (e.g., SL, GS, WG, NF, AD), merit promotion and delegated examining. Serves as an expert technical authority in the application of staffing-related policies and practices. Performs the full range of supervisory responsibilities Manages the classification and position management program. Applies a thorough and comprehensive understanding of classification principles Requirements Conditions of Employment You must be a United States Citizen. Qualifications Specialized Experience Statement: : For this position, specialized experience is at least one year of experience, equivalent in responsibility to the GS-13 level in the federal service, performing staffing and placement functions under delegated examining and merit promotion procedure. Selective Placement Factor: Candidates must currently possess a Delegated Examining (DE) certification and must maintain their certification throughout the duration of their employment with NGA. Candidates MUST provide a copy of their current DE certification in their application package. Candidates who do not currently possess a DE certification or fail to provide a copy of their current certification in their application package will be screened out. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume serves as the basis for qualification determinations and must highlight your most relevant and significant work experience and education (if applicable) as it relates to this job opportunity.
