About the Role

University Physical Therapy – Salem is seeking a passionate and skilled **Physical Therapist** to join our outpatient physical therapy and sports medicine team. This role focuses on providing evidence-based care to patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and performance-related conditions. You will work in a collaborative environment with other rehabilitation professionals to help patients return to peak function, wellness and performance.

Key Responsibilities

+ Evaluate, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with sports-related injuries, orthopedic and neuromuscular conditions.

+ Deliver hands-on therapy and prescribe therapeutic exercises to restore function, strength, and mobility.

+ Educate patients on injury and fall risk prevention, recovery strategies, and performance optimization.

+ Collaborate with referring physicians and interdisciplinary team members in the community to ensure continuity of care.

+ Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.

+ Stay current with best practices and advancements in sports medicine and rehabilitation.

Qualifications

Qualifications

+ **Education:** Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited program.

+ **Licensure:** Active Physical Therapy license in Virginia.

+ **Experience:**

+ Preferred: 1+ years in outpatient orthopedics or sports medicine.

+ New graduates with strong interest in sports rehab are encouraged to apply.

+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Additional Information

Hours:

+ **Monday - Friday, 8 hour shifts, Clinic open 7AM - 6 PM, one hour lunch**
